Five Fabulous Finds

It's Friday and I have a new edition of my Five Fabulous Finds for you today!  

1.  My first pick is the Paperclipping Roundtable Episode 164.   A must-listen episode for every memory-keeper!   I listen to every episode of the Roundtable - great background listening when I'm scrapping - but the story you'll hear in this episode will stop you in your tracks!

2.  Next up . . . Alison Day, a fellow Let's Get Sketchy DT member, shared a great post on her blog recently entitled "10 Ways to Bust Your Stash".  The post is written by a fellow CTMH consultant, Alice Boll and contains some great tips worth sharing.  

4.  I am loving CTMH's new organizers - - I have some blog posts coming up in the next little while showing you just how I'm putting mine to use!   In the meantime - check out this Youtube video all about the "Large Organizer" & how it will help you GET ORGANIZED!!

5. Speaking of the organizers, fellow consultant Amy Mcgrew shared a great tip this week on her blog. Apparently our organizers fit perfectly in our retiring ink tower carrying case - - check it out & order your carrying case HERE before they are gone (currently while supplies last!)

6. Freebie Alert!!  Check out these super cute "You Make Me Happy" downloadable tags from CTMH.   Available for a limited time.  Watch for these to be showing up on some of my artwork soon!  Love them.

Five Fabulous Finds!

Happy Friday -
I have five fabulous finds for you today:

1)   The CTMH special this month is a fabulous Valentine kit to make super cute treat boxes (you can check it out HERE).   But I just LOVE what a few very creative consultants have done with the kit - check out these three gorgeous layouts:    Layout 1, Layout 2, Layout 3.

2)   I'm always on the lookout for amazing craft room inspiration - - here is one I came across recently that is a must share:   Kewl-Beans Studio Tour

3)  Neutrals are anything but boring!  Love this AMAZING set of cards created by Jody Gustafson.

4)  I am a big organizing junkie - so I love this crafty post on IHeartOrganizing:  Scraptastic Paper Storage.

5)  And now I'll leave you with a tiny sneak peek of new Spring/Summer CTMH product - - love what consultant Vanessa Turo has done here with a new alterable container and the For Always paper collection.   So many great things coming February 1st!   Can't wait to share them all with you!

I have a new edition of my Five Fabulous Finds (coming to you a day early because I have the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop post coming tomorrow)!!

1)   Love this great Last Minute Christmas Card idea AND find out what Susan Opel from Papercrafts Magazine says is her all-time favourite must-have tool!!!   PS - It's one of my favourite tools too!

2)  Yumm!!  Christmas means cookies!!  Check out Pretty Life in the Suburbs for a new Christmas cookie recipe every day this week with her Christmas Cookie Extravaganza!!  Haven't had a chance to try any of these recipes yet but I know they'll be great as JoAnna's blog has become one of my go-to sites for great recipes!

4)  Check out these stunning holiday layout ideas from the amazing Karen Pederson!

5)  And finally - - another amazing holiday-themed creation - check out this GORGEOUS paper wreath from Lisa Stenz!   If I get some extra time before Christmas I think I'm going to try my hand at one of these!!  Stunning!

An update on my chaos - - packing is coming along!  All my make & take projects and goodie bags for the retreat are prepped & ready to go -- now to pack my CTMH store merchandise and my own scrappin' stuff!!    Thanks to all those who have sent notes of concern for my injury & even offers to help!!  I appreciate all of you :-)

Five Fabulous Finds

Woohoo!! It's Friday and I have another edition of my Five Fabulous Finds for you:

1.  Airmiles collectors can now collect miles at Michaels craft stores!  As a special introductory offer - they are offering 2X the air miles on all purchases over $40 until September 1st!

2.  I'm a huge fan of Big Picture Classes & have taken several of their online workshops.   Their annual Big Idea Festival is coming up in September and it is completely FREE to register!!    Lots of great topics, inspiration and of course prizes & giveaways too.    And the presenters are an all-star line-up of big names in the industry.  I'm already registered - - hope you'll join me!

3.  With it being 'back to school' time for everyone - - I thought I'd share a cute printable I came across this week - - little lunch box jokes to include in your child's lunchbox!  How fun is that!?!?  

4.  One of my favourite new products in the CTMH Idea Book this fall is our very inexpensive Bracket Frame!!  You can decorate it any way you like & it makes a cute little home decor/display piece.   Love these two ideas I saw using the frame this week:  Patti's La Belle Vie Frame and Debi's Flirty Frame.

5.  Never again will I have to buy another gift bow!! Did you know our new CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge creates bows for you at the touch of a button!  Check out this great Avonlea Bow by Gloria to see what I mean!

Five Fabulous Finds

Woohoo - - I have another edition of my Five Fabulous Finds for you on this fine Friday (two weeks in a row!!).

1.  Ok people - I consider myself REALLY organized.  I'm an accountant, after all.  It is just part of my nature.  But I read a post this week on scrapbooking organization that had my jaw on the floor!  Seriously!   The article is worth a read.  Even if you don't go to the lengths that the author does - you may pick up some very useful tips in your own 'method' and 'process'.    You can find the article here: A Scraptastic Planning Process.

2.  Had to share a hilarious video with you all!  A fellow CTMH consultant recently won a free timed shopping spree in the corporate warehouse - so fun to watch.  What would your strategy have been?  What products would you have gone for first?  Enjoy . . . Noreen's Shopping Spree.

3.  One of my favourite boards on my Pinterest account is my Recipe board.  One of my most popular pins from this past week has been this recipe for Easy Cinnamon Buns.  Haven't had a chance to try it yet - - but it indeed looks easy and oh so delicious!  Will report back once I get a chance to try them!

4.  Planning a party?  The CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge is a must have for DIY party decorations.  Here is a great sampling of what you can create for your next party - Jody Gustafson's Clementine Party.

5.  And finally - - a video every scrapbooker should watch.  This video - titled Stand Still, is from Stacy Julian and is set to an amazing song by Hilary Weeks.  Stacy shared it with us at the CTMH Convention in Dallas & there was not a dry eye in the house!    I promise watching this video will re-inspire you to capture more of your family's memories in your photos & scrapbooks :-)

Five Fabulous Finds

Wow - - it has been several weeks (maybe months, lol!) since I brought you an instalment of my Friday Five  . . . some great picks for you this week:

1)  Are you as into the Olympics right now as I am?  I can't get enough.  I don't watch a lot of TV normally - but during the Olympics my TV is on pretty much morning till night!  Love it.  In the spirit of the games - wanted to share with you this great card I spotted over at the Twinery blog - Olympic Rings - LOVE IT!

2)  Some great tips this week on photo organization at I Heart Organizing.

3)  Tip Junkie shared some photo prompts for August - Moments that Matter.   The idea is to use your camera phone to capture some of those fleeting summer memories.

4)  Here is a great list of FREE Fonts I came across this week.

5)  As you know, CTMH released their Fall/Winter Idea Book this week.   Jeanette Lynton, CEO of CTMH, posted great layouts on her blog using each of the new paper packs that will leave you wanting them all!

It has been a few weeks since I posted a Friday Fab Five - - I have some great picks for you this week!!

1)  PicMonkey - - I'm in love with this FREE photo editing site!! Seriously great!  I was so upset when Google discontinued Picnik!  But am so happy to have now found an even better replacement.  Love it!  Try it - I promise you'll love it too!

2 & 3)  That time of year to start thinking of Mothers & Fathers Day gifts - - found 2 great DIY ideas on Pinterest that I wanted to share with you.  A super cute mini album for Mom (you could also do a similar altered journal) and an adorable wall hanging for Dad (scroll down the page a bit after you click the link to see this one).  Check them out!

4)  Love this idea for a layout - the title is "Time Flies" and it features pics of a loved one over several years!  Gorgeous!

5)  I have been dreaming for a while of doing a gallery wall somewhere in my home to display my favourite photos.  Saw one on Pinterest today that I ADORE!   Again - when you click on the link you'll have to scroll down a bit - look for the dining room photo gallery! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Five Fabulous Finds

Happy Friday!  I have another edition of Five Fabulous Finds for you today:

1)  Kodak (Canada) is having a sale!  Save on prints and photo books.   I do all my photo printing through Kodak and LOVE the quality!   If you ship your order to any Future Shop or Best Buy location for pickup - you don't pay any shipping charges either!   You can find the sale details HERE. 2)  I know a lot of people LOVE the new Superhero paper pack from CTMH, but are perhaps a little intimidated on how to make some of the bold graphics work.   I saw a fantastic 2 page layout this week by Jody Gustafson - she has used Superhero for a great birthday page - thought this might inspire you!

3)  Need some Easter inspiration?  CTMH has a great stamp set called My Peeps.  I've seen a lot of great artwork using this set - but a card came across my google reader this morning that really caught my eye!  Check out this great circle card by Allisa Chilton - super cute!!

4)  One of my favourite home bloggers at A Pretty Life in the Suburbs posted a recipe this week that has REALLY caught my eye!! Haven't tried it yet - - but it looks so DELICIOUS!  Have you ever heard of Peanut Butter Bread?  I haven't!  But it is now on my 'to make' list!  Maybe this weekend!??!

Five Fabulous Finds

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!  I have another edition of my Five Fabulous Finds to share with you today:

1)  Blacks photography is having a sale on prints - through March 18th - print up to 50 6"x8" prints for just $5!  That is 10 cents a print!  Great price!   I love having a selection of 6"x8" size prints on hand for scrapbooking - adds a little variety into your pages!  Check out the sale HERE.

2) A great article on Write.Click.Scrapbook on documenting your family's stories.  Not all of your stories end up on a scrapbook page - but that doesn't mean they are not worthy of being documented.  Check out the article HERE.

3)  For all of you Picnik users (I am one also!!) who are mourning the soon-to-be retired website - TipJunkie wrote an article this week on how to edit your photos without Picnik.   You can check it out HERE.

4)  Another great article and download I found this week geared towards family memory keeping - Jenny Meyerson posted a great list of Family Conversation Starters.  These are great questions you can ask your kids & record the answers for posterity!  You can write down their answers & make a layout - or do as Jenny has done and create little videos of the Q&A sessions!  So fun!

5)  I absolutely love the March stamp of the month "Potential".  So versatile.  I wanted to share with you my favourite creation I've seen out in blog land using this great stamp set - - a beautiful set of simple cards created by Angela Tutton. 

And finally - just a quick note about the CTMH How-To Books . . .

I mentioned in a previous post that all of the CTMH books are being retired.  That means that they are currently for sale 'while supplies last' and will not return in the next Idea Book.  We've just received word that Originals and Reflections are now both sold out of the warehouse and the quantities of the remaining books: Wishes, Magic, Imagine & Cherish are going fast.    I do have one copy of each of Originals & Reflections here in my inventory if there is anybody local that was still looking to buy them.  If you are looking to pick up any of the rest of the books - get your order to me ASAP before they are gone!  They are $21.95 each and a fabulous resource!

Five Fabulous Finds!

Welcome to another Friday edition of my Five Fabulous Finds!!

1)  I love this week's Free Font over at Creating Keepsakes!! It is called "Melton" and it is super cute & versatile!  Check it out HERE.

2) I know you all know that you can do amazing things with your Cricut machines, and with the Art Philosophy cartridge, in particular.  But this next fab find is simply UNBELIEVABLE!!  Christine Adams created an amazing over-the-top, I can't believe that's not real, Rose Bouquet!  Check it out!  WOW!!  (And she has even included a video tutorial on how to make it for those so inclined!!)

3)  Speaking of over-the-top gorgeous creations, check out this Mini Album made from kraft envelopes & using the CTMH Wings Collection by Pam Thorn!  Again, WOW!!

4)  My scrapbook layout pick for this week is hands-down this gorgeous 2 pager by Pamela O'Connor featuring the new Pemberley paper!  Love every detail!

5)  If you love home decor ideas - then this find is for you.  Home Depot released their 2012 Dream Book today - - I enjoyed browsing it this morning for ideas & thought that you might as well :-)

3)  Do you have wallpaper in your home?  I love the look of it in magazines, etc. but I've been afraid!  I have bad memories of 1970's/80's wallpaper and of helping my mom to both remove and apply wallpaper when I was growing up!  But I must say - - I absolutely LOVE the idea of wallpapering my pantry -- Check this out!!

4) Every crafter DREAMS of a room all her own, built to her specifications.  I saw some shelving this week that I've added to my 'wish list' file for my 'one day' craft room!  Check out this AMAZING craft room!! Pay particular attention to her paper storage solution - pullout drawers! LOVE!

Five Fabulous Finds

Another five fabulous finds for you today (my 'picks of the week' you might say!):

1)  Gloria created a really great masculine birthday card this week.  The stamps are CTMH and I just love the clean & simple layout of this card!  I know a lot of people struggle with ideas for masculine projects so I definitely wanted to share this one with you!

2)  What can you do with little strips of paper?  Sooooo many things!!  Check out all these great projects I spotted this week featuring paper strips:  HERE, HERE , HERE and HERE.

3)  If you haven't seen Mary Fish's amazing craft room yet - - take a peek.  Warning - your jaw will hit the floor! 

4)  Did you know that Creating Keepsakes magazine has a new free downloadable font each & every Friday?  This week is a very cute handwriting font called Carolyn!  Available for one full week!

5)  Just for those of you who missed my post HERE on my love of my new Canon camera . . . my fifth fabulous find for this week is the Kelly Moore b-Hobo bag!   I have mine on order!! Yippee!

Five Fabulous Finds

A new Friday feature perhaps?!?  I can`t promise it will be every Friday - - but every so often for sure!  I've seen a few other blogs posting 'picks of the week' type posts and thought that was such a great idea.  I spend a CRAZY amount of time surfing other blogs & websites and lately 'pinning' on Pinterest.   I thought I would share the inspiration and post some of my favourite finds from this week!

1)  A FABULOUS boy birthday card by Vicki Wizniuk using the new Superhero line of papers/embellishments from the Spring/Summer 2012 CTMH Idea Book!

2)  Learn with Jenny - one of my new favourite blogs to visit!  Jenny is a scrapbooker, but that is only a small part of what her blogging is about.  She is also a cancer survivor and is on an amazing journey!  After beating cancer she decided she was going to live life to the fullest and has made a list of 1300+ things that she wants to do/experience/accomplish.  Her blog is such an inspiration and I look forward to each and every one of her posts!

3)  Banner birthday cards!  Banners were a big trend in 2011 and seem to still be 'hanging in there' (ha, ha!) - here are three great banner birthday cards I saw this week:  HERE, HERE & HERE.

4)  The Fall/Winter 2011 Idea Book from CTMH retires at the end of this month.  My favourite retiring product that I will miss the most (and will be stocking up on before the end of January) is: the Dreamin' paper pack!  Can`t get enough of the gorgeous tones in this paper!

5)  Completely unrelated to scrapbooking - but a fabulous find none-the-less - LOVE LOVE LOVE the jewellery from SO PRETTY!  You can find her Etsy shop here and her Website here!  Check it out if you get a chance - beautiful stuff (I don't normally wear a lot of jewellery but I love the style of her pieces!)
