Scatter Joy with CTMH's "Dream Pop" collection

Happy Monday everyone!!   Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.   I was lucky to spend mine at the family farm celebrating a milestone birthday with my grandma.   I moved away from the farm almost 19 years ago - but it is still 'home' to me and I cherish the time spent there and love seeing my 'city kids' have the time of their lives with their cousins out in the country :-)  Took lots of pictures - so I'll be scrapping those memories soon!

Because today is Monday - it means we have a new sketch for you over at Let's Get Sketchy!  Super fun one this week with the very trendy 'starburst' pattern!

Here is my take on it using the "Dream Pop" collection from CTMH, available only this month in celebration of National Scrapbooking Day!

Don't you love that cardstock?  Each piece has a glossy, clear-embossed pattern on one side.   Love it!

And here is the fantastic sketch for this week:

Materials used:
CTMH patterned cardstock:  "Dream Pop"
CTMH Glitter Paper - Blacks/Greys
CTMH Cardstock: White Daisy
Alphabets: CTMH Pixie Glitter Alpha and AC Thickers
Die cuts: Flower and bracket cut with CTMH Artiste & Art Philosophy cartridges

Be sure to check out the Let's Get Sketchy blog!  My fellow DT members did a fantastic job as usual to inspire you!   We'd love to have you play along - - you have a chance to be featured on the blog and/or to win a prize from 7 Dots Studio.

Happy NSD & a new layout!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day - weekend!  The big day is actually tomorrow - - but the festivities begin now, lol!     Wish I could be taking part in all the fun challenges happening around the web this weekend but family duties call.

I'll leave you with some scrappy inspiration in the form of a new 2 page layout.   Used a fantastic sketch from an Sketches for Scrapbooking Volume 8.    I played along with the Scrap Your Stash Patterned Paper Party challenge which is to use 3 or more different patterned papers from 3 or more different collections.   My layout has 7 different patterned papers from 3 different CTMH collections.   Woohoo! Love using up that stash!

When I first created the layout for the challenge, I had missed the added requirement to use rub-ons, so after taking my initial photos above, I added three little rub-on sentiments to my layout so that I could play along, lol!   Sorry for the photo - - terrible lighting!:

Materials Used:
CTMH paper packs:  Splendour, Footloose, Elemental (retired)
CTMH Footloose dimensional chipboard elements
CTMH stamp sets:  Charm Uppercase & Tiny Typewriter
CTMH Rub-Ons
Cardstock: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Lagoon, Sweet Leaf & New England Ivy

Have a great weekend!

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for May.   This month we are featuring the stamp set "Pinwheel"!

Hope you'll join us this month - we have CTMH consultants from across the US and Canada who have created some great projects for you featuring this month's stamp set.    The variety of ideas are sure to leave you feeling creatively inspired!

If you've come here from Allisa's Blog, then you are on the right path.  If my blog is your first stop, that will work too! Just keep hopping until you get back here again!   You'll find a link at the end of each post to move to the next site.  Enjoy :-)

For this month's hop I have created a set of cards.   I think this month's stamp set is so versatile and I wanted to create some cards that could be used for males or females on a variety of occasions.

Here is what I came up with:

Adventure Awaits

I'm so excited to share this layout with you today.   I actually created it back in February or March for Canadian Scrapbooker's Winter 2012/13 "Double the Fun" sketch challenge.   The layout features the new "Tommy" collection from CTMH.  At first glance, I wasn't a fan of this paper - I've never been into the nautical/sailing theme.   But these papers are actually super versatile and I LOVE how this layout turned out.     Makes me want to create more 2 page layouts!

Hope you like it as much as I do :-)

Materials Used:
CTMH Tommy collection
CTMH Harvest Bakers Twine
CTMH Tommy Complements Canvas Stickers
CTMH Tommy Assortment Accents
CTMH Buttons - from assorted packs
Title Die Cut piece - cut with CTMH Artiste

Love Me, Love Me!

Good morning everyone!
We are celebrating April Fool's all month long at Scrap it with a Song and our pick for the playlist this week is "Lovefool" by the Cardigans.    I actually didn't even know that was the name of the song but when I looked it up on YouTube, I was like "ooohhhh!!! THAT song!!"    Anyway - great one to sing along to!

Here is my take on it using the chorus:

Digging into my stash for this one using an older collection - CTMH's "Wings" and an assortment of alphas from my giant alpha sticker drawer!    The Pewter designer brands and paper flowers are all CTMH.
Sketch is #250 from Creative Scrappers.

Thanks for stopping by - hope this week's SIWAS song has you singing (and scrapping!) along too!

Soak up the Sun

Another layout today using the CTMH Chantilly collection.   This is the featured layout from the Chantilly workshop kit.

I tend to reach for kits when I am running short on creative mojo!  They keep me scrapping without having to think too hard, lol!   Kits are also my go-to supply when I'm headed to a crop or retreat because you'll have everything you need in the kit which makes packing easy.    Are you a kit scrapper or do you prefer to put together your own supplies for a page?
