Country Girl

A new song on the playlist today at Scrap it with a Song.  It is DT song picks this month & Shelley has picked "Cruise"by Florida Georgia Line & Nelly.  I have to tell you, I've never heard the song, lol.   Not my usual type of music, for sure!   But the lyrics gave me all sorts of starting points for possible layouts.   In the end, I settled on one line from the lyrics "Country Girl" and scrapped this pic of my FAVOURITE cowboy boots!

Sketch is by Laura Whitaker for Sketch-y Friday at Scrap Much.

Materials Used:
CTMH Clementine paper collection
CTMH Cottage Assortment flowers
CTMH Posh Journal Spots
CTMH Cork Alphabet
"Country" was cut with the Cricut Wild Card cartridge
Circle/Doily shapes cut with CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge
CTMH cardstock: Saddle

Did you know that Scrap it with a Song is having a DT call - - when you link up your entries to this month's challenges, be sure to add "DT" beside your name to be considered for the team!   You can read all the details over SIWAS!

#1 Dad & New Clearance CTMH Items!

Wanted to share with you today a card I designed for a make & take project for the attendees at my last crop.    The card pattern is from the CTMH "Make it From Your Heart Volume 1" book, which contains great sketches and artwork for both layouts and cards.

I created this Father's Day card using two different sets of papers to give the ladies some choice in their project.  Here are both of them, as well as a picture of the inside, which was the same for both cards:

Card using CTMH Tommy and Victory collection papers.
Card using CTMH Superhero and Scholastic collection papers.

All of the die-cuts for my cards were cut using my Cricut and the CTMH Artiste cartridge.    The Artiste cartridge has many 'themed' keys making cards for specific occasions easy peasy!!

That's it for me today -- off to spend some 'me' time in the craft room!    Have a great weekend!

P.S.   Some great new items were added to the Clearance section of my website last night and are going fast!!  Everything is while supplies last - - so get there soon if you are interested.   Can also be combined with orders of regular priced items :-)

Beautiful Girl

Love love loving the Dream Pop CTMH kit.    Another layout today, this time I played with Sketch #94 from Inspired Blueprints:

Love how this came together -- the paper is from Dream Pop from CTMH.   I cut out the floral elements from a different one of the kit's patterned papers and popped them up here with foam tape for embellishment.   The washi-tape 'looking' strip is actually a strip of paper from the collection as well.  The chunky alphas are Bo Bunny and the journalling strips are K&Company.

I have a busy week this week - - prepping & packing for a full day crop I'm co-hosting on Saturday!   Looking forward to seeing everyone :-)

Have a great day!

Scatter Joy with CTMH's "Dream Pop" collection

Happy Monday everyone!!   Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.   I was lucky to spend mine at the family farm celebrating a milestone birthday with my grandma.   I moved away from the farm almost 19 years ago - but it is still 'home' to me and I cherish the time spent there and love seeing my 'city kids' have the time of their lives with their cousins out in the country :-)  Took lots of pictures - so I'll be scrapping those memories soon!

Because today is Monday - it means we have a new sketch for you over at Let's Get Sketchy!  Super fun one this week with the very trendy 'starburst' pattern!

Here is my take on it using the "Dream Pop" collection from CTMH, available only this month in celebration of National Scrapbooking Day!

Don't you love that cardstock?  Each piece has a glossy, clear-embossed pattern on one side.   Love it!

And here is the fantastic sketch for this week:

Materials used:
CTMH patterned cardstock:  "Dream Pop"
CTMH Glitter Paper - Blacks/Greys
CTMH Cardstock: White Daisy
Alphabets: CTMH Pixie Glitter Alpha and AC Thickers

Be sure to check out the Let's Get Sketchy blog!  My fellow DT members did a fantastic job as usual to inspire you!   We'd love to have you play along - - you have a chance to be featured on the blog and/or to win a prize from 7 Dots Studio.

Happy NSD & a new layout!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day - weekend!  The big day is actually tomorrow - - but the festivities begin now, lol!     Wish I could be taking part in all the fun challenges happening around the web this weekend but family duties call.

I'll leave you with some scrappy inspiration in the form of a new 2 page layout.   Used a fantastic sketch from an Sketches for Scrapbooking Volume 8.    I played along with the Scrap Your Stash Patterned Paper Party challenge which is to use 3 or more different patterned papers from 3 or more different collections.   My layout has 7 different patterned papers from 3 different CTMH collections.   Woohoo! Love using up that stash!

When I first created the layout for the challenge, I had missed the added requirement to use rub-ons, so after taking my initial photos above, I added three little rub-on sentiments to my layout so that I could play along, lol!   Sorry for the photo - - terrible lighting!:

Materials Used:
CTMH paper packs:  Splendour, Footloose, Elemental (retired)
CTMH Footloose dimensional chipboard elements
CTMH stamp sets:  Charm Uppercase & Tiny Typewriter
CTMH Rub-Ons
Cardstock: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Lagoon, Sweet Leaf & New England Ivy

Have a great weekend!
