Roomie & Team Gifts - Bag Tags

As is tradition, I made little gift bags for my team members, roomie, and special friends at CTMH's recent convention.    Gift bags were filled with various Convention survival goodies and I also made each person one of these little bag tags for their Convention bags.    One side of the tag is their initial (it is helpful to be able to identify which bag is yours when all 1000+ consultants have the same bag!), the other was a printable quote I found online.    Paper is Jubilee, stamp set is Framework Alphabet.    I laminated & then decorated the jump ring with some retired CTMH ribbon from my stash.

You could easily make something similar as a little gift idea (i.e. luggage tag, backpack tag for your kids, etc.).

I thought they turned out pretty cute & I think the girls liked them too :-)

Happy Holidays Washi Gift Card Holder

Hey everyone!!  Last month at my retreat I taught this cute little gift card holder for one of my make & take projects.   Perfect for Christmas gift card giving!

These were so fun & easy to make!   The gift card holder base is cut from the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge (page 59, cut at 5.25").   The ornament on the front is also from the Artiste cartridge (page 79).   To decorate the ornament, I simply laid strips of washi tape and shimmer tape across the ornament, leaving small strips of white cardstock to show between each row.   I then flipped the ornament over & trimmed around the edge so that the washi & shimmer tapes were flush with the ornament edges.   I also popped up the ornament on the front with foam tape for added dimension.    The edges of each patterned paper are inked in slate ink to give it a more finished look.    The gift card holder fits perfectly is a standard 4.25" x 5.5" envelope.

So fun!

Materials Used:
CTMH Sparkle & Shine paper collection
CTMH Sparkle & Shine washi tape 3-pack
CTMH red shimmer trim (temporarily on back order - back in stock soon!)
CTMH ink: ruby & slate
CTMH cardstock:  white daisy
CTMH Cricut cartridge:  Artiste
CTMH stamp set:  Perfect Fit - Holidays
3-D Foam Tape
CTMH Neutral Assortment Bakers Twine

Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
Happy 2013 to you.   Glad to be back!   I'm in the craft room today and hope to have some new creations to share with you soon!   The new Spring/Summer 2013 CTMH Idea Book has also landed on my desk & it is fantastic!    It goes live to the public on February 1st - - and I'll start sneaking you some peeks of the new products as soon as my order of the new goodies arrives!

Thought I'd start out the new year by sharing a project I worked on before Christmas, but couldn't share here previously as it was a gift for my Mom & Dad and I didn't want them to see it before they actually opened it!

This is a home decor piece - the CTMH Display Tray:

CTMH Paper Packs: Florentine, Cruisin', Dakota, Avonlea
Heart & Flourish cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge

Christmas Gift Card Holder

New artwork to share!!
I don't know about you but it seems like I give more & more gift cards every year.   I guess as my neices and nephews get older and as we have more & more teachers & coaches in our lives - gift cards are the go-to gift!    I find that 'dressing up' the gift cards a little makes me feel a little better about giving what seems like such an impersonal gift.    The CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge makes creating gift card holders super easy!   Check out this Christmas version I created:

The gift card holder base is cut with the Cricut - you simply fold it, adhere it & decorate it!
EDIT - I've had a few questions about the specific Cricut cut -- it is the "L" key (found on page 59 of the booklet), "Card" function, size - 'fit to page'.   If you use your fit to page function - it doesn't matter what size your dial is set at.  The finished card is just over 5.25" x 3.5" - fits in a standard envelope for a 4.25 x 5.5" card.  You can cut two gift card holders on each 12x12" sheet of cardstock.

Materials Used:
Gift card holder, ornaments and sentiment panel cut with CTMH Cricut Artiste
Holiday Cheer stamp set
Ink: CTMH Cocoa

Have a great weekend!

Birthday Gift Card Holder with CTMH Dakota

Sharing a gift card holder I created a few weeks ago as one of the make & take projects for my recent Open House.   It was such a hit at the Open House that I used it again at my All-Day Crop at the end of September for my make & take project that day!

This project is super easy to make - - the gift card holder base is cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge!   Simply fold together, and adhere in the middle & voila - your card is ready to decorate!
-  I added stars (also cut in various sizes using the Artiste cartridge) which were ink distressed with black ink to help them stand out a little more.
-  The paper collection is CTMH Dakota - great for masculine projects such as this one!
-  I stamped the sentiment and the star on the inside of the card using the "Casual Expressions" stamp set.   The oval where I stamped the birthday sentiment is cut using the Artiste cartridge as well and also fits a great thank you sentiment from the same "Casual Expressions" stamp set, if you are in need of a thank you card (instead of a birthday card).    I also popped up the sentiment with some foam tape but stayed away from adding any dimensional embellishments as i wanted to keep this card easy to mail.

Thanks for stopping in today!  To all my Canadian friends -- hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend!  I enjoyed some time with family and a whole lot of delicious food!

La Belle Vie Purse & Matching Cards

A fun little Cricut project to share with you today.

Don't you love this purse?  And it is so easy to make.  The purse shape is found in the new Cricut Artiste cartridge from CTMH & I cut it at 4.5".    The bow is also found on Artiste and it was cut at 1.5".  Neither shape requires any adhesive to assemble!  The purse is held together using slits and folds and the bow folds easily and is held together using the center brad.
I also added to a little simple set of 3x3 notecards inside the purse - - I think this would make a nice little gift idea.

Thanks to Roxybonds Scrappin' for the project inspiration.

Materials Used:
CTMH Patterned Paper: La Belle Vie
CTMH Brads:  Metal Assortment
Bow is made with Blush Cardstock
Card front & inside panels are made with Cashmere Cardstock
Card Sentiments : 4 My Friend Stamp Set
Black Ink for distressing & stamping

Have a great start to your week :-)
