Girls Trip!

CTMH's Flirty pack is retiring in just a few weeks & I'm sad to see it go!   I wasn't a fan of the collection when I first saw it (large graphic prints kind of scare me!) but once I started using it - I grew to LOVE it.  Funny how some papers are that way!

For this layout - I used a great sketch from Laura over at the Scrap Much blog.

Here is my layout:

and Laura's great sketch:

Materials Used:
CTMH Flirty paper pack
CTMH Flirty Dimensional Chipboard Elements
Alpha, Circles & Tags cut with CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge
CTMH Shimmer Trim Tape
CTMH Pixie Glitter Alpha
CTMH Hemp
CTMH Metallics Markers
Cardstock: CTMH Flirty Raspberry (in the Flirty collection), CTMH Ponderosa Pine

(The Flirty Collection retires on January 31st - - so be sure to get it before it's gone!)

Hope you are having a great week!

Have a Splendid Day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American Friends!  Wishing you a wonderful day of family and food :-)

I have a fun card design to share with you today -- this is a 'swing card' cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge.    I made two identical cards, one using the 'front' of the paper and the other using the 'back'.   I think I like the floral one better - but they are both pretty!

All elements of the card were cut with the Artiste cartridge including the inside panel, the sentiment pieces on the front, the card itself, and the bow.

I was inspired by this card.

Linking up to the following challenges:
Created with Love - Falling for Fall
Shopping our Stash - Leaves
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes

Materials Used:
CTMH patterned paper - Flirty
CTMH cardstock - Ponderosa Pine, Colonial White
CTMH "Harvest Happiness" stamp set
CTMH "Perfect Fit - Frames" stamp set
CTMH Pewter bigger brads

Have a splendid day!!

Studio Sunday - Backyard Campout

A quick post this Sunday to share with you my most recent Studio J digital layout.  I used the Flirty kit for this one, which, of course, is also one of our great new paper packs in the Fall/Winter Idea Book.

(Click on the photo to see larger):

Don't you love the owl!?!   A great 'sticker' available in the digital form and in the Chipboard pack that matches the paper!

More pics of our summer fun!!  We camp a lot - but always in a trailer - - so the kids have been asking for quite a while if we could sleep out in our tent.   So we picked a night & set it up in our backyard!!  Lots of fun!   The kids were thrilled!

Hope you all had a great weekend!   I was in Edmonton for a CTMH Regional event.  We had a great time and wow do I have a TON of artwork to share with you - - we did more than 8 hours of creative projects on top of some great classes and discussions!       Fabulous event!

Try Studio J for yourself on my Website!   Free to try & play with -- no cost to you until you decide to purchase a layout you have created :-)

Let's Hang Out

A quick card for you today . . . another created at the CTMH Convention  . . . one of the great reasons for attending is all the fabulous artwork we come home with!

The card and sleeve, as well as the attached tag were cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  The dress was stamped and paper pieced using the new Pun Fun stamp set.  Sentiment is also from that stamp.    Bakers Twine is from the Harvest assortment and the gems are from the Black Sparkle collection.  Woodgrain paper is from the Dakota Collection, the fuchsia paper is from the Flirty Collection and the dress is cut from La Belle Vie paper.

Five Fabulous Finds

Woohoo!! It's Friday and I have another edition of my Five Fabulous Finds for you:

1.  Airmiles collectors can now collect miles at Michaels craft stores!  As a special introductory offer - they are offering 2X the air miles on all purchases over $40 until September 1st!

2.  I'm a huge fan of Big Picture Classes & have taken several of their online workshops.   Their annual Big Idea Festival is coming up in September and it is completely FREE to register!!    Lots of great topics, inspiration and of course prizes & giveaways too.    And the presenters are an all-star line-up of big names in the industry.  I'm already registered - - hope you'll join me!

3.  With it being 'back to school' time for everyone - - I thought I'd share a cute printable I came across this week - - little lunch box jokes to include in your child's lunchbox!  How fun is that!?!?

4.  One of my favourite new products in the CTMH Idea Book this fall is our very inexpensive Bracket Frame!!  You can decorate it any way you like & it makes a cute little home decor/display piece.   Love these two ideas I saw using the frame this week:  Patti's La Belle Vie Frame and Debi's Flirty Frame.

5.  Never again will I have to buy another gift bow!! Did you know our new CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge creates bows for you at the touch of a button!  Check out this great Avonlea Bow by Gloria to see what I mean!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Belated Birthday Card

Good morning all!!  I just returned from a fabulous 4 night camping trip with the family.  We had so much fun and seriously the BEST 5 days straight of weather I think I've ever seen here in Alberta.  No clouds, no summer storms, no wind - - just sunshine, heat & blue skies.    Lovely!!

Now that I'm back - reality is sinking in.  My kids are in hockey camp all next week and then the week after that it is back to SCHOOL!    Summer seems to go faster every year.      Because we are busy with hockey next week - it means we have a bunch of back to school shopping to do this week.  I'm not looking forward to that as my youngest is NOT a good shopper so these outings can be somewhat painful.  I also still have a few things on our 'summer fun' wish list that I'd still like to do and am trying to figure out how I'm going to fit that in over the next few days as well.   Wish me luck!!

Here on the blog today thought I'd share another one of the super cute cards we made at CTMH Convention in July.

The stamp set used is "Pun Fun" - a must have for any cardmaker!   The clouds and balloon were cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.   Paper featured is the new Flirty paper pack.  Embellishments are the Slate Mini Medley, Black & Grey Sparkles and Silver Shimmer Trim, as well as the Harvest Bakers Twine.  Pieces are distressed and stamping is done with Slate ink.  And of course, everything is popped up with Foam Tape.

Have a great day!  See you back here tomorrow :-)
