Here is my take on some of the great lyrics from this song:

My layout features the soon to be retired Typeset paper from CTMH.  I embellished with a doily I picked up at the dollar store and the paper butterflies are the Just Blooms Flutter Paper Shapes from CTMH.  The tag is cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  Alphas are from the dollar store and the mini alphas are from Making Memories.   Kraft border is from CTMH.  Ribbon is retired vineyard berry ribbon from CTMH.

The lyrics really speak to me personally so I did a page of myself.  I take very unflattering self portraits - so please excuse the awful pic!!     Not a lot of pictures of just me to choose from -- so this will have to do!

I do love the layout design however - a great sketch from Kristine Davidson's Creative Scrappers E-book "Creating with Sketches" (Page 14 of the book).

First Day of School - Digital Style!

A new installment of Studio Saturday for you today - - I have a layout to share that I created in CTMH's digital program "Studio J".

This two page layout features the Typeset kit -- great paper patterns & stickease for all your school themed photos!

A fun technique I used on this layout was to create transparent journal boxes which I layered over top of the very cool tags and ledger paper found in the Stickease selection for this kit.  This makes it look like I journalled directly onto the tags/ledger paper.

Friends with Typeset

What do you get when you add a pack of neutral cardstock, a few wooden buttons, and some black waxy flax to your 'leftover' scraps from the Typeset workshop kit?  Well, using the great instructions provided by CTMH - you get five great cards to give to all your BFF's!!

These cute 4.5" inch cards were all cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge!  Super fun!

This was a really fun workshop layout to create.  It includes some painting, some fun distressing with reinker and a stipple brush, and the use of the new Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge!  The kit included the paint used, stamp set, and also comes with the fabulous corrugated shapes you see.
