CTMH Roxie - 10 Things I Love About You

I was back in the craft room for the first time in 2 weeks tonight!!  My pneumonia is under control - the antibiotics are doing their thing - hope to be back in the regular routine of things soon!   I'm working on some DT assignments that I can't post quite yet - so I thought I'd dig back a little bit and share a layout that I haven't yet posted. 

We created this fabulous layout design as one of our create & take projects at last year's CTMH convention in Anaheim!  I just recently got around to finding the PERFECT photos for it to finish it up (you can click on it to view it larger).

CTMH Roxie Birthday Invitations

Hi everyone - I might not be around the blogosphere much this week! My daughter is battling pneumonia and when I do get a spare minute (i.e. when she's sleeping), I'm trying to prep for a weekend scrap retreat I'm hosting this upcoming weekend in Canmore.  We just got my girl's diagnosis yesterday after several weeks of being sick, so we are hopeful that now that she has started antibiotics she'll be on the rebound soon! 

I have a few posts scheduled for you from artwork I've done in the past few weeks, so I won't disappear completely while I nurse my baby back to health :-)

My creation for you today is a Valentine card measuring 5" by 7".  My creation was inspired by a card I saw HERE on Splitcoast Stampers.  This card could easily be adapted to a wedding or anniversary card by simply changing the sentiment.

My creation for this month's hop is a layout!  I wanted to go a little out of the box with this stamp set - so I stayed away from a festive project.  I decided to use one of the Christmas tree images in the set to make a pennant banner.  Love how this turned out!  I made the flower embellishments by cutting several circles, distressing the edges, spritzing them with water, scrunching them up, then unscrunching them & layering them.  Cute & easy!
The design for this layout was inspired by Sassy Lil' Sketches September Week #2 Sketch.
