#1 Dad & New Clearance CTMH Items!

Wanted to share with you today a card I designed for a make & take project for the attendees at my last crop.    The card pattern is from the CTMH "Make it From Your Heart Volume 1" book, which contains great sketches and artwork for both layouts and cards.

I created this Father's Day card using two different sets of papers to give the ladies some choice in their project.  Here are both of them, as well as a picture of the inside, which was the same for both cards:

Card using CTMH Tommy and Victory collection papers.
Card using CTMH Superhero and Scholastic collection papers.

All of the die-cuts for my cards were cut using my Cricut and the CTMH Artiste cartridge.    The Artiste cartridge has many 'themed' keys making cards for specific occasions easy peasy!!

That's it for me today -- off to spend some 'me' time in the craft room!    Have a great weekend!

P.S.   Some great new items were added to the Clearance section of my website last night and are going fast!!  Everything is while supplies last - - so get there soon if you are interested.   Can also be combined with orders of regular priced items :-)

Happy Happy Birthday to You with CTMH Victory

My stash of birthday cards is running low so I used some scraps to play with.  I was inspired by Gloria's card HERE.

Love the denim blue & pink combo!  I added a touch of liquid glass to the flower center to give it some pop & shine.  The butterfly was sponged with Hollyhock ink to match the card and the center panel is popped up with foam tape to add dimension.

Materials Used
CTMH patterned paper:  Victory
CTMH paper butterfly - Just Blooms Flutter Paper Shapes
CTMH Ink: Outdoor Denim & Hollyhock
CTMH Cardstock: White Daisy, Hollyhock
CTMH Hollyhock Twill Ribbon (retired)

CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for April

Welcome to the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for April. This month we are featuring the stamp set "You Are . . .".

Hop along with me & a bunch of other great CTMH consultants!  We've created a whole lot of artwork for you, all using the April Stamp of the Month.  If you've come here from Krista's Blog, you are on the right path. If this is your first stop on the hop, that will work too (just keep hopping till you get back here again).

To continue along the hop, just follow the link at the end of each post to go to the next site. We hope that following the hop will give you lots of inspiration and ideas for using this month's stamp set, along with the many other great CTMH products you'll see in each post!

My creation for you today is a 12" x 12" scrapbook page.   The page design was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest.
I used this great Stamp of the Month set in several places on my layout -- I created my own background paper by stamping the argyle type pattern over my entire piece of bamboo cardstock.  I used bamboo ink - so the design is subtle - - but it just adds a little 'something'.   I then used the starburst image as a border on the green strip of cardstock under the photo.  And finally, the title.   What a versatile stamp set.  I can see getting a LOT of use out of this set!
My layout features the new paperpack "VICTORY" from CTMH.  I also used the Milepost Corrugated Shapes, the Blue Ribbon Assortment, Lucky chipboard (retired), Chocolate Waxy Flax, and the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (to cut the tag).  I used Chocolate, Colonial White, Bamboo, Olive, and Kraft cardstock, and Outdoor Denim ink.

The "You Are . . ." stamp set is available from your CTMH consultant from April 1st to 30th, 2012. You can purchase it for $17.95 or get it for just $5 with your qualifying purchase of $50 or more during the month of April.

Thanks so much for hopping with us!! Hope you enjoyed your stop here today! To continue on the hop - please visit Angela's Blog!

CTMH Victory "Eyes that Know Me"

One of the songs up on the playlist this month at Scrap it With a Song is "Falling Slowly" from the film ONCE - another Oscar winning song.  I absolutely LOVE this song - but my favourite version of it is not the original - it is actually the version that was recorded by Lee Dewyze & Crystal Bowersox for American Idol.    They sound amazing together!   Have a listen:
