Hey all - crazy times around here - birthday parties, hockey wind-ups, taxes, a new lake lot . . . busy busy!! But I DO have a brand new layout to share with you today that I absolutely ADORE!!
Our song this week at Scrap it with a Song is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland.
And here is my layout:
My page design for this one came from this Page Maps sketch.
Love how all the elements came together on this page!
Materials Used:
CTMH Patterned Paper: Dakota & Dotty for You (retired) & Lucy (retired)
CTMH Garden Wood Shapes
CTMH Black Pearl Flourishes
CTMH Black Mini Medley Accents (ON SALE while supplies last for just $1.50!!)
CTMH Stamp Set - Stitched Together
Alpha: Fancy Pants Rub-Ons
Ink: CTMH Black
Cardstock: CTMH Black, Colonial White
Other notes: my banner shapes were just freehand cut and the scalloped edge is a Stampin' Up! Punch. Journal lines just drawn with a ruler & a marker :-)
I do hope you'll be inspired to come play along at Scrap it with a Song - this month all of our songs are about colour!! And I also hope you'll be inspired to give mixing different paper collections a try like I did on this layout! I'd love to see how you 'mix it up' - - if you do, be sure to leave me a link in the comments below so I can come check out your creations! Song inspired layouts can be linked up at SIWAS for a chance to be our May Guest Designer!

Happy New Year & My Display Tray Project Kit
Hi everyone!
Happy 2013 to you. Glad to be back! I'm in the craft room today and hope to have some new creations to share with you soon! The new Spring/Summer 2013 CTMH Idea Book has also landed on my desk & it is fantastic! It goes live to the public on February 1st - - and I'll start sneaking you some peeks of the new products as soon as my order of the new goodies arrives!
Thought I'd start out the new year by sharing a project I worked on before Christmas, but couldn't share here previously as it was a gift for my Mom & Dad and I didn't want them to see it before they actually opened it!
This is a home decor piece - the CTMH Display Tray:
Materials Used:
CTMH Display Tray
CTMH Paper Packs: Florentine, Cruisin', Dakota, Avonlea
Heart & Flourish cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge
Black & Colonial White Waxy Flax

Bitty Pearl Opaques
Ink: Archival Black & Black

Anyone who orders the Display Tray from me can also purchase a pre-cut, pre-stamped 'embellishment kit' to decorate their tray as shown. (You choose your own monogram letter and add your own photos). The embellishment kit is just $5 (mailed to you) with the purchase of the display tray. Email me if you are interested.

Birthday Gift Card Holder with CTMH Dakota
Sharing a gift card holder I created a few weeks ago as one of the make & take projects for my recent Open House. It was such a hit at the Open House that I used it again at my All-Day Crop at the end of September for my make & take project that day!
This project is super easy to make - - the gift card holder base is cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge! Simply fold together, and adhere in the middle & voila - your card is ready to decorate!
- I added stars (also cut in various sizes using the Artiste cartridge) which were ink distressed with black ink to help them stand out a little more.
- The paper collection is CTMH Dakota - great for masculine projects such as this one!
- I stamped the sentiment and the star on the inside of the card using the "Casual Expressions" stamp set. The oval where I stamped the birthday sentiment is cut using the Artiste cartridge as well and also fits a great thank you sentiment from the same "Casual Expressions" stamp set, if you are in need of a thank you card (instead of a birthday card). I also popped up the sentiment with some foam tape but stayed away from adding any dimensional embellishments as i wanted to keep this card easy to mail.
Thanks for stopping in today! To all my Canadian friends -- hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I enjoyed some time with family and a whole lot of delicious food!

Let's Hang Out
A quick card for you today . . . another created at the CTMH Convention . . . one of the great reasons for attending is all the fabulous artwork we come home with!
The card and sleeve, as well as the attached tag were cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge. The dress was stamped and paper pieced using the new Pun Fun stamp set. Sentiment is also from that stamp. Bakers Twine is from the Harvest assortment and the gems are from the Black Sparkle collection. Woodgrain paper is from the Dakota Collection, the fuchsia paper is from the Flirty Collection and the dress is cut from La Belle Vie paper.
