CTMH Sophia "Little Girl"

We have a new song up on the playlist at Scrap it With a Song.  We're celebrating the Oscars this month and our song this week is "Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day which won the "Best Original Song" Oscar in 1956!

My layout was inspired by a line in the lyrics "just a little girl . . .".  The great sketch is the Playing in Paradise challenge #52 at the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog.

Materials Used:
CTMH patterned paper - Sophia (retired)
CTMH stickers & alpha's - Sophia (retired)
AC alpha's - Thickers

CTMH cardstock: tulip & white daisy
Bracket shape cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge

Be inspired by the song - come join us at Scrap it With a Song!  You have until the end of February to play along and link up your creation for a chance at our top 3 and a Guest Designer spot!  Can't wait to see what you create!

A Hodge Podge of Supplies!

Whenever a new catalogue comes out I'm reminded of my ever-growing stash, which usually inspires me to use up some of what I already have (at least until the boxes of new product start arriving, LOL!!)

This layout was a result of that guilt ridden inspiration!  A complete hodge podge of different kits and collections!  I was completely inspired by the design and artwork example in the Magic Scrapbook Program book for the "Enchantment" pattern!   This layout would be easy to recreate even if you didn't have the same papers/embellies that I used - simply use papers you have in these colours - - it is the colour combo in this layout that make it work!

Materials Used (all CTMH):
Green (Sweet Leaf) patterned paper is from Boom-di-Ada Level 2 Kit (retired)
Blue (Twilight) patterned paper is from Tinkerin Level 2 Kit (retired)
Pink (Hollyhock) patterned paper is from Bella Level 2 Kit (retired)
Alpha stickers are from the Bella Level 1 Kit (retired)
Flower sticker is from the Sophia Level 1 Kit (retired)
Typewriter Alpha stamp set
Hollyhock brads
Felt Die cut from Heartfelt Wonder collection (retired)
Cardstock: Cocoa, Colonial White
All papers edged with cocoa ink

Sophia Workshop Projects - Feminine & Masculine Versions!

The ladies attending my next workshop this Friday will be playing with the Sophia Workshop Kit.

Here is the main layout featured in the workshop guide:

I did TWO takes on this layout  -  one following the guide and a second one with a few changes to create a masculine version (click on photos to see larger image):

A few simple modifications and this 'girly' kit can work just as well with your 'boy' pics!!  I swapped out a piece of the pink cardstock for a blue piece and used a pack of blue buttons instead of pink ones.  I changed the stamp set I used to one that was a little less 'floral' and flipped some of my patterned papers to the monochromatic back sides and VOILA!  Love how it turned out!

Not attending my workshop Friday but love the look of this kit?  The Sophia workshop kit is available for you to purchase and create on your own at home!! Available to order until August 31st!

Materials Used:
Sophia Workshop Kit (includes package of pink buttons, package of colonial white waxy flax, full package of Sophia paper, workshop guide, and Sophia stamp set)
Bohemian Alphabet stamp set (for title)
Comments stamp set (for journalling lines) - retired
Inks: Goldrush, Tulip, Pear

additional items added to complete 2nd layout:
Blue Buttons
Dutch Blue cardstock
Cocktail Alphabet stamp set (for title)
Connections stamp set
Inks: Dutch Blue, Pear
