CTMH Color Challenge & More!

I went a little 'blog challenge' crazy today! There are so many great challenges out this week - but it is hard to find time to do them all. I was really excited to be able to wind 3 challenges into this one card:

The colors are from Jeanette Lynton's Color Me Monday Challenge for this week - Goldrush, Desert Sand, Chocolate & Cocoa!! What a great combo!
The sketch is the Fall To Layout #66 from Clean & Simple Stamping.
And the third challenge from Frosted Designs was to use an owl image on your project.

CTMH Life Delights & 2 Challenges!

I'm on a bit of a "Life Delights" paper kick this week . . . more to come!

This card meets a few of this week's challenges:

1) The Practical Scrappers challenge this week is to use up your scraps! You know, all those bits & pieces of random paper you have saved because you know you'll used them eventually - - well, now is the time! So I pulled out my Life Delights scraps and some cardstock scraps to pull this one together.

2) The color challenge over at KJ's Stamp Pad this week is Green, Purple, Brown & Cream. I used Close to My Heart's Sweet Leaf, Petal, Chocolate & Colonial White on this card.

Card design is "Collage" from the Close to My Heart Wishes Card Confidence Program book.

Other: Foam Squares

CTMH Color Chef Challenge #14 meets CPS #124

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colour challenge over at KJ's Stamp Pad this week!
The challenge is to use Brown, Orange and Turquoise! And I managed to combine this with another challenge - Sketch #124 from Card Positioning Systems. (So many challenges, so little time - I need to start getting more efficient!!)

      CTMH Color Me Monday Challenge

It has been a while since I played along with the Color Me Monday Challenge on Jeanette Lynton's Blog, but the colours in this week's challenge really appealed to me!

The color challenge for this week is:

Here is the card I came up with:

      CTMH Colour Challenge #11

Wow - I REALLY struggled with this week's colour challenge over at KJ's Stamp Pad. The challenge this week was to use ONLY Bamboo and White!! Limiting myself to only 2 colours was unbelievably hard!

But in the end - I'm happy with the result and glad I played along with the challenge to 'step out of my box' a little! It is hard to see in the photo (I'm still working on trying to improve my photos!!) - - but the tag says 'boy'.

      CTMH Colour Challenge #10

My daughter has a birthday party to attend on Saturday - so I decided to use the Color Chef Challenge #10 over at KJ's Stamp Pad for the birthday card I needed to make. This week's challenge was to use Black, White Daisy, and a 'splash' of my choice of colour. Well, being that this card is for a young girl - my colour choice was easy - PINK! I may have gotten a bit carried away - seems to be a little more than just a 'splash' of colour in this card! Oh well - I think she'll love it!

      CTMH Colour Challenge

I have recently become addicted to challenges! They give me a kickstart when I'm having trouble getting inspired to start a new piece of artwork! They also are a great way for me to try new things and to 'step out of my box'.

One of my favourite challenges is Jeannette Lynton's weekly CTMH Colour challenge called Colour Me Monday(Yes, I know that I'm a few days behind on this one too!). Every week on her blog she posts a different combination of CTMH colours, and then it is up to us to see what we can come up with!
Here is a simple but sweet baby card I came up with for this week's challenge:

      Materials Used (all CTMH):
Cardstock: Petal, Pansy Purple, White Daisy
      Inks: Petal, New England Ivy

The design of the card is based on the "Locket" design from Originals
