Remembering my Granny

Scrapbooking has always been theraputic for me and nothing relieves my stress quicker than spending a few hours in my craft room.  So when I got the call on Saturday that my Granny had passed away - in my sadness I was drawn to my scrapbooks & I immediately went digging in my photo albums for some pictures of her to work with.  In creating these pages, I wanted to pay tribute to this amazing woman and to collect all of my immediate thoughts and memories of her at that moment & to preserve them for my kids and future generations.  Although it is difficult to say goodbye - I know that our memories of her will live on (both in our hearts and our scrapbooks!)

For my first layout, I used this week's sketch from Liz's Sketch Blook:
And for the second layout, I was inspired by this week's sketch from Pencil Lines:

Materials Used (all Close to My Heart, except where noted):
Passages Level 2 Paper Pack
Stickease from Passages Level 1 Scrapbooking Kit
Hinges from Pewter Mini Medley Accents
Cocoa Ribbon
Foundry Tabs
Other:  Pewter decorative brads from my stash, Flourish rub-on from "My Minds Eye"
Cardstock: Barn Red, Bamboo
Ink: Cocoa

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope that these layouts have inspired you to scrapbook your memories of a loved one who is no longer with you, but still lives in your heart.
