CTMH Silhouette & Mojo Monday #94

So glad to be back! The family and I have been camping and visiting my in-laws over the past 10 days or so! We had a really great trip! I LOVE camping with the kids - it is a lot of work, but so worth it to see how much fun they have! However - being away from my craft room for 10 whole days was brutal - I was starting to go through symptoms of withdrawl! So as soon as the kids were tucked into bed tonight - I was off to create!

I thought Mojo Monday would be a good way to get back into the swing of things!

CTMH Bella & Mojo Monday #92

Playing along with Mojo Monday for another week . . .

Techniques - I distressed all the paper edges with ink. I also dry embossed the center piece of Olive cardstock with a leaf pattern and then went over it lightly with a sponge and some Olive ink. The larger flower is sponged with Smokey Plum ink.

CTMH Stardust & Mojo Monday #90

Mojo Monday's Sketch #90 was a bit of a challenge for me today . . . but in the end I was happy with the result. I played with a few different papers before I finally ended up with Stardust! This paper is so much fun - perfect for layouts of your little boys or for cards for 'kids'!

CTMH Perfect Day & Mojo Monday #89

I played along with Mojo Monday again this week.

• Other: Fancy Cuts Botanicals die-cut flowers, Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon, Liquid Glass, Foam Squares, Cocoa Brads

It might be difficult to see the details in my photo, but I used the "Rock & Roll" stamping technique to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment by inking my stamp in my desired colour first, then rolling the edges of the stamp in the cocoa ink before stamping the image on my cardstock. I also adhered the flower using foam squares for added dimension and highlighted the center of the flower by coating it with a layer of liquid glass. I also distressed the edges of the card base and all of my paper pieces using a sponge and cocoa ink.

I seem to always be running a few days behind lately . . . so my attempt at this week's Mojo Monday sketch is no exception. But better late than never!!

I actually really liked this sketch and my card came together pretty quickly when I sat down to do it.
