A New Sketch Blog!

I came across a new sketch blog in my blogging travels a few days ago.  The blog is called "Let's Get Sketchy" and they are having their inaugural DT call.  Thought I'd put a layout together to apply!  (Just in time, too - the call closes at noon tomorrow).

I have two creations for you today.
 
The first is a layout using the "Bottom Border" pattern from the CTMH scrapbooking book "Reflections".  I used the flower stamp from the Jubilations set to create a border along the bottom of my layout.  I stamped the flower multiple times in several different colours.  I then cut out each individual flower and attached them to the layout using brads.  I love creating my own custom embellishments for my scrapbook pages using stamped images!

My second creation is also a layout.  This one is the "Sidebar- Journalling" pattern from Reflections (rotated 90 degrees).  On this layout - I stamped the sunshine stamp from the Jubilation stamp set directly onto the large Canvas buttons to add as an accent to my layout title.    I love how these buttons 'finish' off this very simple layout.

CTMH Grace & Felicity Brothers Layout

Happy Fathers Day everyone!!  Did you see the GORGEOUS layout Jeanette Lynton posted in honor of her Dad for Father's Day?!  I think I'll be casing this one! Love it!!

My layout today is not a "Dad" layout, but it is a masculine layout and it features my husband (the best Dad ever!!!) . . .

I used this week's sketch from The Scrappiest.
