Yes - this is probably the most un-flattering picture I have ever taken!! I was 8 years old and I had a REALLY bad case of the MUMPS!! Yikes!! Luckily the Summer Olympics (L.A. - 1984) was on at the time - so I spent my hours in isolation happily watching the summer games! (I love the Olympics - summer or winter, doesn't matter. And I'm not an athlete (at all!). I just love the patriotism - everyone cheering for their country - and the spirit of it all! I've had my TV on all day catching the first events of the Vancouver games! Go Canada Go!)
I love this week's simple
Design Dollies sketch and thought it worked perfectly with my photo.
Materials Used (all Close to My Heart):

Fantastic LO!!! even if it is of the mumps...! We need to savor every memory whatever the occasion. I just LOVE how you used this beautiful paper.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout, Carla! I remember the mumps, too. It was pretty awful, actually. You do look very swollen!
